Sergio Graffi was born on March, 29th, 1938 in Bologna (Italy), where
he has always lived in. He accomplished classical studies at "Liceo L.
Galvani", then engineering studies at the Engineering Faculty of Bologna
University, where he got the laurea degree in Electronic Engineering
in 1962. He then joined the Istituto di Elettronica which later
merged into the Dipartimento di Elettronica, Informatica e Sistemistica
(D.E.I.S.).. He became Assistant Professor in 1963, achieved the Libera
Docenza in 1972 and passed an Applied Electronics Full Professor competitive
examination in 1976. The main areas of his research activity are: nonlinear
oscillators, frequency demodulation, solid-state device numerical analysis
and modelling, analog IC macromodeling for the design of low-EMI-susceptibility
circuits, cellular neural networks (CNN), analog CMOS IC , chaotic electronic
oscillators. He is (co-)author of a few tens of publications.
