Analog Fuzzy implementation of a perceptual classifier for videophone sequences

Abstract:

In this paper we describe the implementation of a perceptual classifier for videophone image coding. A fully-programmable Analog Fuzzy circuit is used to compute the relevance coefficient for each block of a single frame in order to control the image quality by means of an adptive coding policy.
